Canterbury MuseumHoused in an exquisite historic building in Christchurch's Cultural Precinct, are outstanding Maori exhibits, a Victorian Christchurch Street and stories of adventure and daring from Antarctica's heroic era. ![]() A frequently changing exhibition programme complements the Museum's permanent galleries. Take time to browse the gift shop or relax in the Museum Cafe overlooking the beautiful Christchurch Botanic Gardens. The Museum is open every day except Christmas Day, 9am-5.30pm (October-March) and 9am-5pm (April-September). General admission to the Museum is free, donations are welcome. There is a $2 admission to Discovery. Your motel at 298 Riccarton Road in Christchurch is a 5 minutes' drive to the museum. |
